Administration Has Given Up On Diplomacy With Iran

Plans strike on Iran.

Or so saith Brit Hume of Fox Noise.

How perfectly silly. They never believed in diplomacy with Iran or anyone else. What
is interesting is that they plan to wait until the primaries are over but before the election to start the bombing. Everything is political with these guys, even a nuclear holocaust.

It would be be a gas to watch the Goopers deal with oil prices at $500 a barrel, if the Bush plans were not so incredibly dangerous and deadly to people all over the world.

Brit Hume and FOXNews.com: Pentagon Has Given Up on Diplomacy,

Crafting Plan to Bomb Iran

Reported by Marie Therese - September 12, 2007 -

Tuesday September 11, 2007 during Special Report, Brit Hume reiterated more strongly what I wrote in my last post, stating that the Bush administration has given up on diplomacy with Iran. Hume gave a very truncated version of a much longer story filed by FOX News correspondent James Rosen that claims that the Pentagon is actively planning to bomb Iran. "A recent decision by German officials to withhold support for any new sanctions against Iran has pushed a broad spectrum of officials in Washington to develop potential scenarios for a military attack on the Islamic regime, FOX News confirmed Tuesday," Rosen wrote.

Rosen's report continued:

Germany — a pivotal player among three European nations to rein in Iran's nuclear program over the last two-and-a-half years through a mixture of diplomacy and sanctions supported by the United States — notified its allies last week that the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel refuses to support the imposition of any further sanctions against Iran that could be imposed by the U.N. Security Council.

The announcement was made at a meeting in Berlin that brought German officials together with Iran desk officers from the five member states of the Security Council. It stunned the room, according to one of several Bush administration and foreign government sources who spoke to FOX News, and left most Bush administration principals concluding that sanctions are dead.

The article goes on to say that Washington insiders believe that the attack will take place after the primaries but before the election in 2008.
